How To Maintain An Aluminum Alloy Toolbox

1. It is recommended to remove dust and clean leather products before storing them each time. It is best to apply leather maintenance oil to general leather products first. Apply the oil on a clean cotton cloth first, and then wipe the surface evenly. Avoid applying the oil directly on the surface to avoid damaging the leather.
2. The cabinet for storing leather products must be ventilated. The natural oil of the leather itself will gradually decrease over time or with excessive use, so even high-end leather products need regular maintenance.
3. Leather has strong absorption capacity and should be prevented from staining, especially high-end frosted leather. Use a dry towel to wet it once a week and wring it dry, repeat several times and wipe it gently. If any holes, tatters or burns are found, do not repair them without authorization, and directly ask professionals for service.
4. For hardware maintenance on leather products, wipe them with a dry cloth after use. If it is slightly oxidized, try to gently rub the hardware with flour or toothpaste.
5. Lacquered leather generally only needs to be wiped with a soft cloth. To maintain glossy leather, please apply a little leather maintenance oil on a soft cloth, and then rub the leather with a little force; to maintain matte leather, you only need to wipe it gently with a cloth. If the dirt is serious, you can try to wipe it gently with a rubber similar to an eraser.
Maintenance methods for bags made of other materials
To clean the surface of canvas, nylon, EVA and other materials, you can use a damp cloth or a viscose roller brush to clean the dust on the surface. To remove more serious stains, you can use a damp cloth or a soft brush dipped in a neutral detergent to scrub. For long-term storage of suitcases, keep them dry to prevent mold and odor.
If you use a damp cloth to clean the box, you must wait for it to air dry before closing it. Do not use the suitcase as a storage box. Storing too much clothing will cause the suitcase rollers or feet to be deformed due to long-term overload pressure. The clothing straps and partitions in the box should be kept loose. If the elastic band is stretched and tightened for a long time, it will lose its elasticity.

(1) Select welding wire
Generally, 301 pure aluminum welding wire and 311 aluminum silicon welding wire are selected.
(2) Select welding method and parameters
Generally, the left welding method is used, and the welding torch and the workpiece are at a 60° angle. When the welding thickness is more than 15mm, the right welding method is used, and the welding torch and the workpiece are at a 90° angle.
(3) Preparation before welding
Use chemical or mechanical methods to strictly clean the surface oxide film on both sides of the weld groove.
Mechanical cleaning can be done with pneumatic or electric milling cutters, scrapers, files and other tools. For thinner oxide films, 0.25mm copper wire brushes can also be used to grind and remove the oxide film.
After cleaning, weld immediately. If the storage time exceeds 4h, it should be cleaned again.
(4) Characteristics of aluminum and aluminum alloy materials in aluminum boxes
Aluminum is a silvery-white light metal with good plasticity, high electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, and also has the ability to resist oxidation and corrosion. Aluminum is very easy to oxidize to produce aluminum oxide film, which is easy to produce inclusions in the weld, thereby destroying the continuity and uniformity of the metal and reducing its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

It is very easy to oxidize. In the air, aluminum easily combines with oxygen to form a dense aluminum oxide film (thickness of about 0.1-0.2μm), with a high melting point (about 2050℃), far exceeding the melting point of aluminum and aluminum alloys (about 600℃). The density of aluminum oxide is 3.95-4.10g/cm3, which is about 1.4 times that of aluminum. The surface of the aluminum oxide film is easy to absorb moisture. During welding, it hinders the fusion of the base metals and easily forms defects such as pores, slag inclusions, and unfused, causing the performance of the weld to deteriorate.
Aluminum alloys are made of pure aluminum with some alloying elements, such as aluminum-copper alloys and aluminum-zinc-magnesium-copper super-hard aluminum alloys. Aluminum alloy has the characteristics of light weight, low cost, mechanical properties (uniform force), easy processing and high heat dissipation. In particular, the engine part of the vehicle is particularly suitable for the use of aluminum alloy materials. As for the computer case, most of them are made of aluminum-copper alloy. The main consideration is the heat dissipation problem. Because after the copper and aluminum are mixed and extruded, the heat dissipation performance is quite good, and even some high-end CPU water cooling fans are made of this material.
